Microdermabrasion is a popular medspa procedure used to treat a range of skin conditions. At Flawless Skin by Abby, we provide among the best results in microdermabrasion Nigeria has to offer. This treatment is a non-invasive, exfoliating procedure that addresses hyperpigmentation, clears pores, and leaves smooth skin behind. After a consultation and skin evaluation, we can tell you if microdermabrasion is the right treatment option for you.

What Is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a skincare process that uses tiny crystals to exfoliate the skin. It is a non-chemical, non-invasive procedure performed to remove the dead, dry, outer layer of the skin’s surface, revealing the fresh, healthy layer underneath. It is suitable for all skin types and colors and will not cause color changes or scarring.

Why Choose Us for Microdermabrasion?

We focus on providing the best skincare and aesthetics available in the world. We specialize in anti-aging, skin discoloration, and acne treatments, while providing a luxury experience for our clients. Flawless Skin by Abby is known as the premier skincare medspa in Nigeria – expect to be catered to, cared for, and to achieve results that bring you joy!

What to Expect with Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion works in three parts:

  • A handheld device uses tiny crystals to gently exfoliate, removing dead skin cells from the skin’s surface.
  • A vacuum gently sucks the dead skin cells, debris, and impurities away.
  • Products are applied to complement the procedure and enhance your results.

You may be provided with eye protection during the procedure. Your skin will be cleansed of makeup and oils, but no topical anesthetic will be applied. To provide tension to achieve the most effective abrasion and vacuuming, you skin may be slightly stretched during treatment.

What Is Recovery Like after Microdermabrasion?

Less aggressive than dermabrasion, our microdermabrasion in Abuja has a faster recovery time and does not require medications to numb the skin. Your skin may feel somewhat tight after the procedure, but it should not be painful. You may return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.

Faq Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a popular procedure with our clients. We have provided answers to some frequently asked questions below.

How Many Microdermabrasion Treatments Will I Need?

Depending on your skin’s condition and your desired aesthetic results, microdermabrasion may be performed as frequently as weekly or up to every eight weeks. As human skin regenerates at 30-day intervals, for continued improvement, we recommend a series of six to 12 treatment sessions spaced two to four weeks apart.

When Will I See Results?

Many people see results after the first microdermabrasion treatment, particularly when it is performed to brighten the skin or remove blackheads. Other conditions, such as deeper scarring, may require a series of treatment sessions for results to become noticeable.

What Are the Side Effects of Microdermabrasion?

Your skin may remain tight, dry, and slightly pink, similar to a sunburn, for approximately 24 hours. Keep the skin moisturized, wear adequate sun protection, and do not apply makeup for the first day after the procedure.

What Areas Can Be Treated with Microdermabrasion?

This treatment is most frequently used on the face. However, microdermabrasion can also be used on most areas of the body, including the neck and décolletage.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19 View Update

We have you covered

Dearest Clients,

We are aware of the current activity of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 in the region.

Flawless Skin BY Abby leadership team is actively monitoring the Coronavirus situation.

We recognize the seriousness of COVID-19 and, to be clear, our sole concern is for your safety and the safety of our team members. As healthcare professionals, above all else, we must always be vigilant regarding public health.

Based on available data, it appears that the virus is not particularly harmful to younger and otherwise healthy people. While it is still too early to gauge the broader impact the virus will have in the Nigeria, we know that the virus is very contagious and can be transmitted during an asymptomatic phase.

Accordingly, we would like to offer 10 universal community precautions that should be employed to mitigate viral spread:

  1. No handshaking and avoid crowded spaces if possible.
  2. Use your elbow or knuckle to press elevator buttons, light switches, etc. Lift the gasoline dispenser with a paper towel or disposable gloves.
  3. Open doors with a closed fist or hip if possible.
  4. Wash your hands regularly for 10-20 seconds and/or use a greater than 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer whenever you return home.
  5. If possible cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue and discard. Use your elbow only if you have to.
  6. High dose (1000mg) vitamin C and zinc lozenges have been shown to boost immunity and thwart the spread of the viral pathogens.
  7. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
  8. Should you decide to wear a mask, use one with a N95 designation and discard after one day.
  9. Practice other good health habits. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at home, work or school, especially when someone is ill. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
  10. If you are sick - stay home.

Additionally, we want to minimize the risk of transmission in our facility while continuing to deliver great experiences to you, our clients.

Our commitment has always been to provide a pristine environment for our clients. To further ensure we are delivering on that promise, we will implement and/or continue to employ the following measures over the coming weeks:

  • We are ordering protective eyewear and face masks for all client facing providers (aestheticians, MAs, RNs, PAs, NPs, and MDs). Gloves will continue to be used.
  • Viricidal disinfectant wipes will continue to be used to clean all treatment rooms and door handles before and after every procedure or service.
  • Our providers will continue to wash their hands before and after every procedure or service.
  • Lobby areas will be cleaned by the front desk every thirty minutes.
  • Our teams will reserve the right to refuse service to any clients who are actively experiencing cold or flu symptoms. Cancellation fees will be waived.
  • Any team members with active cold or flu symptoms will not to come to work.

In the face of this unique challenge it is imperative that we all work together to promote safety while still enjoying our lives. If you have any questions regarding our policies please do not hesitate to contact the office via email or any of our hotlines – 08174913220, 08183201854.

Thank you,

Abimbola Bakare Founder/CEO
